Debate on motion to refer the instrument to a Delegated Legislation Committee (DLC) Notes

In the case of prayers tabled in the Commons against instruments subject to the negative procedure or motions tabled against treaties, a motion may be made by a Minister to refer the motion to a delegated legislation committee. Motions of this kind can be debated in the House of Commons chamber.
