The Trade and Agriculture Commission's purpose is to provide advice under section 42 of the Agriculture Act 2020 (reports relating to free trade agreements). In preparing a report relating to free trade agreements under that section, the Secretary of State must request advice from the Trade and Agriculture Commission and must lay before Parliament any advice received in response to such a request.
