Instrument replaced by revoking instrument

A step of type Business step.

Instruments can be revoked by primary or secondary legislation in full or in part. If revoked in full, the instrument stops being law from that point. Revocation does not prejudice the validity of anything previously done under the instrument.

Librarian notes

Scope note: This step can be actualised if a revoked instrument has been replaced like for like - in whole - by the revoking instrument. Usually easy to spot in the explanatory memorandum to the revoking instrument. This step is a temporary workaround, pending an update to the legislation model to relate a revoked instrument to a revoking instrument.
