In the House of Commons, Members can table a motion to not ratify a treaty subject to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 procedure. A motion to not ratify, if tabled and passed within 21 days (Period A - subject to extension) of the treaty being laid, could delay ratification due to a second period (Period B) of scrutiny starting in the House of Commons.

There are 2 routes.

  1. A Route from AP Decision to Motion that the treaty should not be ratified withdrawn (House of Commons) as part of the Treaties subject to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 procedure

  2. A Route from Motion that the treaty should not be ratified withdrawn (House of Commons) to AG SUM as part of the Treaties subject to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 procedure
